Is there an Honorific structure in place for Essex 2011?

Yes.  After some discussion it has been decided that the Lodge/Chapter awards will again be divided into Vice-Patrons, Patrons and Grand Patrons, and that individuals will be designated Vice-Patrons, Patrons and Grand Patrons. 

The Lodge and Chapter awards will take the form of a certificate and will be issued at the close of the Festival or, if earlier, when a lodge achieves the Grand Patron Award.  The lodge may amend their summonses to carry this honorific.

The individual awards will take the form of a jewel which can be purchased once a brother is credited with the Vice-Patron amount.  The Patron and Grand Patron awards will be bars which will be issued automatically and free of charge to a brother reaching those levels who has already purchased a jewel.

Lodge and Chapter Honorifics

These will be calculated as an average contribution per subscribing member.  The number of members will be that on the last annual return submitted by the Lodge or Chapter prior to 17 March 2005.

Individual Honorifics

Unlike the practice adopted for Festival 2000, Lodges and brethren will be credited with payments only when they are made.  It will not be possible to take future payments into account.

Remember that these figures include any Gift Aid reclaimed.
